Operation Sharing Tennessee

1.Operation Sharing Tennessee (OST), operating under an agreement with Appalachian Life Quality Initiative (ALQI) of Oneida, TN, and Christian Appalachian Project (CAP) of Corbin, KY, opened in a warehouse on Verdun Road provided by the Scott County Chamber of Commerce. The ribbon cutting was held October 17, 2008, and the first distribution date was October 23, 2008. In March 2009, OST began distributions from the former H.T. Hackney building in Oneida. In 2014 OST listed 328 organizations and distributed over $10.6 million in products. To qualify as a member of OST you must be located in the Appalachian Mountains and have a 501(c)(3) designation or be a school, or church (with pastor’s ordination papers). For membership information, contact Dawn Ellis, 200 Jellico Street, Oneida, TN 37841, 423-286-3300. Hours of operation are 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday of each week. Appointments are scheduled every 20 minutes between 9:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. each of those days.
